When needed, the specialized services of the West Florida Rehabilitation Institute offering individualized rehabilitation plans to help patients achieve their full potential through a wide range of programs, including speech/language pathology, a Wheelchair Seating Clinic, an ADL Driving Program, and a host of specialized therapies, including physical, occupational, aquatic, and recreational therapies.

Primary Stroke Center
West Florida Healthcare is certified by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. This means that in addition to our dedicated physicians and specialized staff, we also offer leading-edge treatments and technologies, including interventional radiology procedures and life-saving clot-busting medications, as well as quick access to labs, medications, and CT and MRI scans. In addition, West Florida Healthcare recently received the American Stroke Associations Get With The Guidelines-Stroke (GWTG-Stroke) Silver Performance Achievement Award. The awards are given for excellence in stroke treatment, and recognize West Florida Hospitals achievement in using evidence-based guidelines to provide the best possible care to patients through The American Heart Association/American Stroke Associations GWTG-Stroke Program.
